Responsibilities

 You will make an impact by: 

  • Providing leadership in planning, implementing, and effectively managing academic programs in support of College and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes to exceed placement expectations.
  • Ensuring consistency of practice in assessment and curriculum development.
  • Managing, planning, and implementing a comprehensive pre-licensure nursing program for delivery in support of American Career College, campus, and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes that meet workplace, state and institutional accreditation expectations

Your Experience Includes:

  • Knowledge and evidence of strong leadership, supervisory and management skills as applicable to specialized program area.
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or other nursing accrediting agencies, ABHES, BPPE, and other accreditation standards.

Education/Licensure:

  • Master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration required.
  • Must be a graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital- based program) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License required.
  • Must have approval by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) prior to assuming the role of Director of Nursing.
  • American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current CPR Card.
