Program Director, Radiography

As a Program Director for a certified Great Place to Work, you will provide leadership in managing, planning, and implementing the program in support of College and/or departmental goals in order to assure compliance with programmatic accreditation and/or licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes to meet placement expectations.  

You will make an impact by:

  • Participating in curriculum development and coordination, determining teaching assignments using a blended instructional approach combining face-to-face instruction with on-line instruction (as applicable), selection of faculty, and selection/coordination of program specific external facilities and instruction.
  • Providing professional leadership and support for teaching faculty; serving as a mentor and facilitator for faculty assigned; and enabling an environment which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility.

Your experience includes: 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience in medical imaging.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Leadership knowledge in the program field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.

Education:

  • Master's degree.
  • Must be a graduate from a radiography program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or an otherwise recognized training entity (e.g., hospital-based program) in the specialty field or subject area in which they teach.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in radiography or equivalent.
  • Current California license/permit as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current radiology supervisor and operator certificate.
  • Current CPR Card.
